We spent three days this week geeking out at The Fillmore, and that's totally fine with me. Most recently, we saw Walk The Moon as they brought their Press Restart Tour to Philly, and my high school self was having a very external dance party the entire time.

There's nothing not to love about Walk The Moon. They're fun, they're loud, they're dancey, and they're so so catchy. This was a show that I knew would make me smile, and that's why I wanted to go.

I'ma big fan of watching the crowd mill into a show, and Walk The Moon fans are exceptionally cool to look at. The band's signature colorful paint can be seen in a million different variations on everyone, and I love that. People of all ages were at this show, supporting them 100%. That's what it's all about. That's why this makes me so happy.

While I'm not as familiar as I'd like to be with their most recent album, What If Nothing, they thankfully played all of the crowd favorites from their early days. "Shiver, Shiver," "Lisa Baby," "Portugal," "Anna Sun," and of course, "Shut Up and Dance" were on the setlist. (I might have danced harder than I did at prom three years ago to that one). But even though I didn't know all the words to their new stuff, I still enjoyed it just as much as if I was diehard familiar with it. The new singles, "One Foot" and "Headphones" were of course featured, and you could tell that the band was having nothing but a good time giving us what we wanted.

And did I mention that the show was happening right as the Eagles secured their place in the SUPERBOWL? That was more than cool, and Walk The Moon knew it, too, so they gave Philly a shout out.

I was thrilled when we secured a photo pass for this show, because the stage was so cool and colorful and ever-changing. I think light work is so interesting and I love seeing what each band will do with their background. Walk The Moon brought with them rows of rotating dots to light up and fade out and pulse in every different color imaginable. It wasn't only a killer set to listen to, it was a killer set to look at.

You can still catch Walk The Moon on their Press Restart Tour, and I highly suggest that you do. Your high school self will thank you.
