Cabin Fever Intensifies In Slomo Sapiens "Jeepers Creepers" Quarantined Play-Through

Slomo Sapiens have been sitting in isolation following the release of their heady and topical LP, Cabin Fever Dreams, two months ago. This quarantine has seen the cancellation of their release show with other local favorites Ali Awan, Dominy, and Grace Vonderkuhn. However, they’ve managed to stay sane thanks to their new check-in series called “Cracking a Cold One With...” Every weekend the band goes live on Instagram and chats about life indoors with some of their favorite musician friends. We’ve already seen House Plant and Ali Awan, and this week they’re virtually hanging with St. James & The Apostles. You can tune in to that on their page.

Like a lot of bands, Slomo Sapiens have been finding new ways to stay creative and connected while following safe social distancing practices. Hosting livestreams and posting play-through videos seems to be about as much as we can all do at the moment, but if you caught Slomo Sapiens and friends on Love From Philly Live’s festival lineup last weekend, then you know the separation is worth it for those small moments of “face to face” interaction.

With all the downtime we get a new separate-but-together play-through video from one of Cabin Fever Dreams tracks, “Jeepers Creepers.” It’s fun and weird and totally visually representative of that unique sludge-psyche vibe that Slomo Sapiens always bring to the stage, now on your screen.
