Foxtrot & the Get Down Milkboy Release Show

You might remember when we caught Foxtrot & the Get Down at Radio 104.5's Fireside Session back in December. It's been a little while since we've caught up with the band, and they have a release show for their new album, "Roots too Deep," this Friday, March 17th. Here's what they want YOU to know about where they've been.

"What have you been up to ? Tell us about your tour and travels."

We've been super busy. The record, "Roots too Deep," came out on February 24th, but right before then we were back in Nashville cutting even more new music. We dropped the record and have been doing a ton of press. We've been down south since. We did some TV interviews, performances, and had meetings in Nashville, and now we're back in Philly for our release show!

"How has the record been received by listeners?"

The record is getting so much love. Hard to believe it's really out. We've seen some amazing reviews, and have been getting love from so many people. It's still odd to either hear our tunes on the radio, or more recently actually seeing ourselves on TV. We're just really happy to finally give people all the new music we've been working on.

"What inspired you to start Vlogging?"

We've always been big on giving people a view into our weird little world. When the album cycle started to really ramp up, we decided that doing our video series, "Road to Roots," was a necessity. We worked with the great Mark Janavel, who is a phenomenal videographer as well as a great friend to the band. He really did a great job of showcasing who we are as a band.

"What do you want your fans/fellow Philadelphians to know for your return show?"

For this hometown show at Milkboy, we're just ready to celebrate with the people we love the most. We're going to be playing "Roots too Deep" all the way through, with some classics and some surprises thrown in. We're going to have our first physical pressings of the new record, and we're fully expecting to throw down with Philadelphia.

We'll be back in Philly for the release show at Milkboy this Friday, so be on the lookout for a photo album from the night!

You can find "Roots too Deep" everywhere you stream music!
