We just graduated college...(!) here's a look at what's next

Dylan and I both graduated Saint Joseph’s University two weeks ago with our Bachelors degrees. We started this blog at the beginning of our sophomore year, and we put in equally as much work into this project as we did into school. To see the end of one of those ventures is really, really scary. We’re both facing an unforeseeable amount of change; the “real job” search, moving away from campus, and figuring out our places in our respective industries while still maintaining positions with Philly Live and WXPN to ensure that our passions don’t get lost in the shuffle.

With that said, I’m super excited to share that Dylan and I have both gotten our feet in the door with startup summer jobs. I have accepted a content writing intern position with media buying company Graydown, located in South Philly. Dylan has accepted an internship with Visit Valley Forge working with tourism teams, restaurants, sporting enterprises, and media producers across the greater Philadelphia area.

Along with these exciting new changes, we have definitely not put aside this blog. We have plans to cover several exciting shows for The Key as well as planning some press work with local bands for here.

We’re both extremely grateful for every opportunity that Saint Joseph’s has given us, and all of the ways that we've learned how to tie our personal interests into the start of our professional careers. I’m confident that Philly Live will continue to be a part of that. I’ll never forget the way we started this blog on a whim, and how it led to so many cool opportunities that I never could have even dreamed of. The music scene here is truly home, and we are far from finished with it.
